Lovely Sunday

It's amazing what a little sun and warm weather can do for a person's attitude. 48 above with a light breeze off the lake and the most wonderful sun shining down made a great afternoon at the beach with Dakota. We met a few dogs (and their owners) who were quite friendly, and well, some that weren't (mostly the dogs). I now have a quite content four legged friend, resting in "her spot" guarding the apartment from any squirrels or rabbits.

Middle of the Week-Weekend

Although sub-zero cold for most of my time off, it was quite nice to have two consecutive days off with Dan. We couldn't even remember when the last time we had that much time off together was! We decided probably around early October, before he left for training in Dallas. The Tues/Wed felt more like Sat/Sun and we treated it as such, doing as little as possible! We watched movies, cooked/baked (he cooked, I baked), and just enjoyed each-others company. Time apart is never fun, but it has taught us to appreciate the time we have together. The picture of us was from our "last date" in East Grand Forks, MN at the same restaurant as our first date, the Blue Moose.

Get Your Truck Stuck?

While walking around downtown after a trip to the CTA headquarters (again)- I noticed a cop blocking traffic and soon a city bus backing down the street....that seemed a little odd, and as I continued to walk, I came upon this glorious "oh sh!t" moment (because you know that's what he said when he heard the metal screeching when his trailer got stuck!)
